On Monday, 8 August 2016, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Klaipėda, on Šilutės pl., at the junction with Svajonės street, a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a bicycle and a Peugeot 406. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 25-year-old cyclist, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
