On Thursday, 11 August 2016, in the morning at around 10:00, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Alytus–Seirijai–Lazdijai national road (kilometre 6), a BMW 525 D rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (8 years of driving experience), who fell asleep at the wheel. The driver was sober.
