On Thursday, 11 August 2016, in the evening at 18:22, in Kėdainių district municipality, Šilainėlių village, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 58.78), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Iveco registered in Czechia, an Iveco, a trailer/semi-trailer 0.75–3.5 t and a Fiat. One person was injured — the 55-year-old driver of the Fiat (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Iveco (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober.
