On Saturday, 13 August 2016, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 49.48), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V40, a Volkswagen Passat and a Volvo XC70. No one was hurt in the accident.
