On Sunday, 14 August 2016, in the afternoon at 13:20, in Prienų district municipality, Pakuonio town, on Sodų street near No. 34, a Nissan Almera ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Nissan, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.14‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet.
