On Monday, 15 August 2016, in the evening at 17:26, in Biržų district municipality, Zaprutiškių village, on the Paliūniškis–Vabalninkas national road (kilometre 30.30), a moped rolled over. One person was injured — the 34-year-old driver of a moped (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of a moped, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.06‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
