On Thursday, 18 August 2016, at night at 23:08, in Jonavos district municipality, on Chemikų street near No. 138, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane, a Volkswagen Golf and a Nissan Primera. One person was injured — the 27-year-old driver of the Nissan (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
