On Saturday, 20 August 2016, in the evening at 19:17, in Biržų district municipality, on the Biržai–Pasvaliečiai–Saločiai regional road (kilometre 9.05), a Suzuki SV 650 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Suzuki (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.39‰ blood alcohol). A 31-year-old passenger of the Suzuki was drunk (1.97‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
