On Thursday, 25 August 2016, in the evening at 19:20, in Kaunas, on Josvainių street, at the junction with Baltijos street, a BMW 520 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
