On Saturday, 27 August 2016, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Telšių district municipality, on the Telšiai–Varniai–Laukuva national road (kilometre 5.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Honda Accord and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Honda (8 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.80‰ blood alcohol).
