On Sunday, 28 August 2016, in the evening at 18:11, in Plungės district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 64.78), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat, an Audi A6 and a Skoda Octavia.
