On Sunday, 28 August 2016, in the evening at 21:01, in Vilnius, on Kalvarijų street near No. 62, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Derbi, a Skoda Fabia and a Nissan. One person was injured — the 25-year-old driver of the Derbi (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Derbi, who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to keep a safe distance, failed to choose a safe speed and was driving a vehicle with faults the traffic rules prohibit driving with. He was drunk (2.60‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
