On Sunday, 4 September 2016, at night at 23:40, in Jonavos district municipality, on Vasario 16-osios street near No. 70, an Opel Astra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
