On Tuesday, 6 September 2016, in the evening at around 19:00, in Telšių district municipality, on Kauno street near No. 13, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Honda FR-V, a Volvo XC90 and an Opel Zafira. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Honda (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
