On Saturday, 10 September 2016, in the morning at 7:25, in Varėnos district municipality, on the Merkinė-Leipalingis national road (kilometre 3.94), a Chun LAN CL50QT registered in Great Britain ran off the road. One person was injured — a 19-year-old passenger of the Chun LAN (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Chun LAN, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed.
