On Thursday, 22 September 2016, in the morning at around 10:00, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on Vienybės street, at the junction with S. Nėries street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and an Audi 80 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Audi 80 (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to give way when crossing an intersection.
