On Tuesday, 27 September 2016, at night at around 23:00, in Tauragės district municipality, on Vytauto street, at the junction with D. Poškos street, a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Volkswagen Passat registered in Norway. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Passat, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (1.58‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
