On Monday, 3 October 2016, in the evening at around 19:00, in Klaipėda, on Kretingos street near No. 14, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Peugeot 406. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Jeep, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
