On Friday, 7 October 2016, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kaunas, on Šiaurės pr. near No. 103, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat, a Mazda 5 and a Nissan Primera. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 69-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (25 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.50‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
