On Sunday, 9 October 2016, in the afternoon at 14:24, in Vilniaus district municipality, Galgių village, on Galgių street, at the junction with Perlų street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a moped and a Volkswagen Sharan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of a moped, who failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (1.96‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). A moped had recorded faults (stabdžių).
