On Tuesday, 11 October 2016, in the afternoon at 11:15, in Zarasų district municipality, on Juozo Gruodžio street near No. 1, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Focus and a Skoda Yeti. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Ford, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.81‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
