On Saturday, 22 October 2016, in the evening at 19:10, in Vilnius, on Tunelio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Saab 900 and a BMW X5 registered in Belarus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Saab, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.71‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
