Drunk Toyota driver hits a pedestrian at a crossing at Žalgirio g. and Apkasų g., Vilnius
On Monday, 24 October 2016, in the evening at 21:01, in Vilnius, on Žalgirio street, at the junction with Apkasų street, a Toyota Avensis hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 52-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Toyota (13 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He was drunk (1.69‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
