On Friday, 28 October 2016, in the morning at 6:44, in Panevėžio district municipality, Gustonių village, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 11.90), a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a DAF FA 95XF.480 and a Krone SDP27. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the DAF (37 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals and failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
