On Tuesday, 1 November 2016, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaunas, on Jurbarko street near No. 24, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and an Opel Insignia Limousine NB. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Opel Astra (11 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
