On Sunday, 30 October 2016, at night at 1:36, in Trakų district municipality, on the Trakai–Rūdiškės–Pivašiūnai–Alytus national road (kilometre 45.10), a Renault Megane Scenic ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene.
