On Thursday, 3 November 2016, in the evening at around 22:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Daukšaičių village, on the Švėkšna–Daukšaičiai–Veiviržėnai regional road (kilometre 7.50), an Audi A4 rolled over. One person was injured — the 27-year-old driver of the Audi (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.99‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
