On Sunday, 6 November 2016, in the evening at 17:35, in Klaipėda, on Vilniaus pl. near No. 1, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Scania R 124 LB, a BMW 320D and a Krone ZZF18. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Scania (38 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
