On Thursday, 17 November 2016, in the evening at 17:33, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Kauno street, a Ford Focus hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 5-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 20-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Ford (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
