On Monday, 5 December 2016, in the evening at 21:20, in Kaunas, on Vytenio street near No. 27, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a vehicle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 42-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
