On Thursday, 8 December 2016, in the evening at 17:53, in Vilniaus district municipality, Buivydiškių village, on Sūduvių street, a Volvo S60 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 31-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Volvo, who violated overtaking rules, failed to fulfil pedestrian duties and failed to choose a safe speed.
