On Saturday, 10 December 2016, in the evening at 18:10, in Alytus, on Ulonų street near No. 33, a Skoda Superb hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 33-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by a 33-year-old pedestrian, who committed traffic rule violations that contributed to the accident and was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest). He was drunk (2.51‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
