On Sunday, 11 December 2016, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kaunas, on Kiečių street near No. 78, at the junction with Mauručių street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Ford Mondeo and a Volkswagen Polo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (1.41‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
