On Tuesday, 13 December 2016, in the evening at 18:10, in Kaunas, on Vandžiogalos street near No. 33, a BMW hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 43-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the carriageway where prohibited and was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest). He was drunk (3.25‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy.
