On Monday, 19 December 2016, in the evening at 17:25, in Kaunas, on Kovo 11-osios street near No. 60, at the junction with Taikos pr., a Nissan Almera hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 50-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Nissan (22 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to fulfil pedestrian duties.
