On Wednesday, 21 December 2016, in the evening at 20:10, in Vilnius, on Laisvės pr. near No. 76, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Galant and a Citroen C1. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (8 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
