On Thursday, 22 December 2016, in the evening at 18:30, in Kaunas, on Jonavos street near No. 51A, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and a Renault Laguna. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
