On Thursday, 29 December 2016, in the evening at around 17:00, in Šiauliai, on Architektų street, at the junction with Gegužių street, a Renault Megane Scenic hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Renault (24 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
