On Wednesday, 28 December 2016, in the morning at 8:15, in Šiauliai, on Dvaro street near No. 144A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Mazda 323. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Audi (6 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
