On Tuesday, 10 January 2017, in the evening at 17:20, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Savanorių pr., a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Volvo S40 and a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Volvo (18 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals and failed to give way when crossing an intersection.
