On Thursday, 19 January 2017, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Skuodo street, at the junction with L. Ivinskio street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Renault Clio and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Renault (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
