On Friday, 20 January 2017, in the afternoon at 16:23, in Vilnius, on Mindaugo street near No. 26, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Saab 9-5 and an Opel Insignia Limousine NB. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Saab, who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (2.21‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
