On Saturday, 4 February 2017, in the evening at 20:40, in Lazdijų district municipality, on Turistų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra-G-CC and a Volkswagen Caddy. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed.
