On Monday, 20 February 2017, in the evening at around 18:00, in Vilnius, on Žemaitės street near No. 7, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 85-year-old driver of the Opel (60 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
