On Tuesday, 28 February 2017, in the evening at 20:41, in Palanga, on Sodų street near No. 20, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Mitsubishi Space Star. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.17‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
