On Monday, 6 March 2017, in the afternoon at 15:30, in Utenos district municipality, on Kupiškio street, at the junction with Aukštakalnio street, an Opel hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 13-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Opel (10 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
