On Saturday, 11 March 2017, in the evening at 20:58, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vievis–Maišiagala–Nemenčinė national road (kilometre 24.30), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 306 and an Audi 100. Three people were injured — the 49-year-old driver of the Peugeot (hospitalized), the 28-year-old driver of the Audi (hospitalized) and a 32-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober.
