On Wednesday, 15 March 2017, in the evening at 17:50, in Pakruojo district municipality, on the Smilgiai–Pakruojis national road (kilometre 17.20), a Peugeot 406 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Peugeot (36 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene.
