Drunk Audi A6 driver hits an obstacle at Plento g. and Užupio g., Šalčininkai

On Sunday, 19 March 2017, at night at 1:34, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on Plento street, at the junction with Užupio street, an Audi A6 Avant hit an obstacle. Three people were injured — a 20-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient), a 28-year-old passenger of the Audi (hospitalized) and a 23-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Audi (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.81‰ blood alcohol). A 25-year-old passenger of the Audi was drunk (1.37‰). A 20-year-old passenger of the Audi was drunk (0.69‰). A 23-year-old passenger of the Audi was drunk (1.74‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
