On Friday, 31 March 2017, at night at 23:40, in Klaipėda, on Mažojo Kaimelio street near No. 40A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Chrysler Voyager and a Skoda Yeti. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Chrysler (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
